Sustainable development

Discreet and durable

Mutual aid, sharing and benevolence… The values inscribed in the DNA of the Manoir D’Youville have led the establishment to review its practices to reduce its environmental impact and promote practices in favor of more sustainable development.

In 2021, Manoir D’Youville joined the St. Lawrence Challenge, a program that aims to reduce the consumption of plastic products at a time when biodiversity in the St. Lawrence marine area is impacted by microplastics. The accommodation has therefore opted for hygiene products based on seaweed.

Reusable, biodegradable or recyclable containers maximized, composting implemented, glass cleaners, coffee sticks and plastic straws eliminated, LED lighting installed in the lobby, 5,000 square feet of vegetables grown and consumed on site… Little by little, the site and habits are changing.

Awareness extends to human resources management with a constant focus on equity, diversity and inclusion. The professional support put in place aims to allow the full development and progression of everyone, wherever they come from.
